Creating announcements
Send a one-time message to all your customers via push notification or email.
Overview
Announcements are how you reach your entire customer base at once. Use them to tell customers about a new product, a limited-time promotion, an event, or anything worth sharing. You can send immediately or schedule for a future date and time.
Announcements can be created from Marketing or from the Marketing calendar.
Announcements are available on the Loyalty and Growth plans.
Step 1: Choose your announcement type
At the top of the create announcement flow you will choose between two delivery types:
Push notification Sent directly to your customers' lock screens. Best for short, time-sensitive messages where you want immediate attention.
Email Delivered to your customers' inboxes. Best for announcements with more detail. Worthify automatically generates a branded email template using your logo, business name, address, and website — you just write the message.
Toggle between the push and email icons at the top right of the form to switch between the two previews.
Step 2: Link to an offer (optional)
If you have an active offer running you can link it to your announcement here. Worthify will pre-fill the announcement details based on the offer so you do not have to write everything from scratch.
Step 3: Fill in the details
Location — select which location this announcement is for
Name — the internal name of this announcement, used for your own reference in the marketing log
Message — what customers will see. Push notifications are capped at 150 characters so keep it short and direct. Email messages can be longer
Link — optional. Add a URL to direct customers somewhere specific — your menu, a product page, or your join link
Step 4: Set your send time
By default the send time is set to now. To schedule for a future date and time click the send time field and pick when you want it to go out. Once scheduled it will appear in your marketing log as Scheduled and on your marketing calendar on the chosen date.
Step 5: Active toggle
The Active toggle controls whether this announcement is visible on your public marketing feed URL. Turning it off means customers who visit your feed will not see it — but the announcement will still send at the scheduled time regardless.
What customers see
Push notification The announcement arrives on the customer's lock screen from your business name. Tapping it opens the link if one was included.
Email Customers receive a branded email with your logo, cover photo, business name, address, and website automatically included around your message.
The announcement also appears on your public marketing feed page if the Active toggle is on — visible to anyone with your feed URL, pass or no pass.
