Scanning wallet passes with the app

Use the Worthify Scanner app to quickly issue points, redeem rewards, and look up member activity at your location.

Overview

The Worthify Scanner app makes it easy for your team to manage member interactions in real time. Whether you're issuing points for a purchase or redeeming a reward, everything can be done by simply scanning a customer's wallet pass or looking them up manually.


How scanning works

  1. Open the Scanner app on your device

  2. Use your camera to scan the customer’s wallet pass QR code

  3. If the customer is already a member of your rewards program:

    • Their profile appears instantly

    • You’ll see their current point balance

    • Available rewards (if eligible) will be listed

  4. If the customer is not part of the program yet, the app will let you know


Issuing points

Depending on how your program is configured, your staff can issue points in one of two ways:

  • Visit-based program: Tap “Issue Points” and the visit is counted

  • Spend-based program: Enter the purchase amount, and points are automatically calculated based on your rewards configuration

The transaction is recorded and reflected immediately in the member’s balance.


Redeeming rewards

If the customer is eligible for a reward:

  • You’ll see the list of available rewards in their profile

  • Tap the reward to confirm and redeem

  • The app will deduct the required points instantly


Manual member lookup

If the customer doesn’t have their wallet pass with them:

  • Tap the phone icon in the app for mobile number lookup or

  • Tap email icon for email address look up

  • You’ll see their profile and can issue points or redeem rewards as normal


Tracking scanner activity

Each scanner device has its own Activity tab that logs:

  • Points issued

  • Rewards redeemed

  • Manual lookups performed

This helps you monitor daily usage per staff or location.

This same scanner activity is synced and reported back to the merchant portal, under the Activity tab, so owners and managers can see a full view of customer interactions.
