Creating your first redeemable reward

Learn how to create rewards your customers can redeem with the points they’ve earned — from free items to discounts or exclusive perks.

Overview

Once you've set how customers earn points, it's time to decide what those points unlock. Redeemable rewards are the heart of your loyalty program — they're what keep customers coming back.


How to create a reward

  1. Go to the rewards section
    From your dashboard or during your program setup, head to the “Rewards” tab.

  2. Click “Create reward”
    You’ll be asked to enter a few key details.

  3. Fill in reward details

    • Reward name: Give your reward a clear title (e.g., “Free coffee” or “$10 off”)

    • Points required: Enter how many points a customer needs to redeem it (e.g., 1,000)

    • Maximum discount: If it’s a dollar-value reward (like a free item), set a cap — for example, “up to $5”

  4. Save your reward
    The reward will be live immediately and visible to customers in their wallet pass.


Best practices

  • Only create rewards you’re actively offering — once saved, they appear to all customers

  • You can create as many rewards as you want — from small perks to big VIP redemptions

  • Use names and descriptions that make the reward feel exciting and clear


Important note for multi-location businesses

If your business has more than one location, keep in mind:

  • Redeemable rewards are created per location. When you create a reward, it only applies to the current location portal you're working in.

  • If you want the same reward available at multiple locations, you'll need to create it separately for each one.

  • Rewards and programs are separate: a reward program can be shared across locations, but redeemable rewards must be managed individually.

This setup gives you flexibility to tailor rewards by location — or keep them consistent, if that’s what you prefer.
